Default Orange Indicators

Hi guys,

As the topic suggests... Is there a good thread on how to remove the orange in my front headlights and what bulb I would replace it with?

Many thanks,

John

You can get silver bulbs. Halfords easiest, but will pay through the arse. eBay probably best bet.

I think you need to go through the wheel arch liner to get to them, as like with the sidelights

There's an orange cap in there though that you'd have to get out. Think its a headlight in the oven to open it up kind of jobby

Yep, I've just been looking for a Ricks type mod for the facelift headlights and this was the best I could come up with https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/694...n-signal-rear/

Let us know how you get on. I really really want these, would modernise the front end. But I've not got the balls to put my units in the oven.

I'd pay someone who has experience of doing this. It was around $450 to buy and get the the company to fit and return them if I sent them to the states.

I think a heat gun would be a better bet - but TBH the orange doesn't bother me enough to be taking my ~£400 each headlight units apart

Not sure i'd use a heat gun, much harder to regulate the heat and the intensity of it.

As I said above, it's definitely on my list of mods to do, that combioned with a bumper respray and headlight washer removal. Would really freshen up the front.

I've just removed my washer jets with bumper respray and plastic number plate holder! :-)

Ill take some pics as of the change out between orange to transparent! Hopefully there won't be pics of anything melting!!

I could write a step by step guid.... Like a cook book.. Pre heat your oven to gas mark 6 lol

Going to look excellent with those improvements combined. What colour is your car?

Please do, I think there is a guide online somewhere. Will be interesting to see how you get on with the silicon sealant, don't mind a botched job in my bathroom, but not on my car
