Default Origin vs Odometer

Hmm I drove a fair few miles coming back home yesterday. My tripometer in the car and my origin b2 were both reset at exactly the same point, and when i reached home the readings were:

Car odo: 270
Origin: 222

WTF is that all about? Is my speedo really that much out (anywhere up to 5-6mph higher than the origin when checking speed travelling)

The Origin didnt lose sat lock once on the trip either

When cruising my road angel generally shows 3-4mph under the speedo, though your figures seem well out

I would be very surprised , no shocked , if the odo was that far out .

How frequent does the GPS take a reading ? and are you sure it had a constant lock and didnt just give you an A - B as the crow flies distance . Maybe , if the info is still there you can replay / display the route driven to check it wasnt a straight line .

My speedo is 2mph above the Origin. When I next do a run, I'll try the odo and post the results.

A few of the US people who've changed the final drive have compared the odometer and the speedo with a known source. IIRC the odometer is very accurate, while the speedo is set to over-read.

I was suprised how far out the mileage was, I expect the mph to be a tad out. This was mostly motorway and I think ave speed was somewhere in the 70's on that trip if that makes any difference.

I recall Professor Bronowsky once explaining that there is a unique coefficient of gravitational effect in Hertfordshire. Usually just after closing time I believe.

Note to self. Must read posts before replying.

Do you live in Wales. Wales has a blanket "Technology Dampening Field" that prevents the use of anything more advanced than a toaster...

Other than that, haven't got a clue. I will try mine when I remember though.
