Default paintwork

is it just me or does the paintwork on black s2000's scratch/mark incrediably easily. It seems all i have to do is rub lightly on the paintwork and it marks it. I even have water marks in the paint (where it has rained and dust has formed) which havent come out since i've washed and waxed (with meguaires) will get scratchx on it at the weekend me thinks!

One of my friends, a surgeon, cleaned his black Evo with T-Cut and used a green kitchen scourer on his alloys. Not blessed with the most common sense....

Yes, Honda paint is recognised as being soft (compared to BMW/Audi etc) and the darker colours will show more swirls and scratches.
There are wash techniques that will minimise contact with the car, WRT to the cloths, rub them on a CD first, if they scratch that then use them for the wheels/door shuts etc....

to wash i use a normal sponge. Chamois to dry. Then use the meguairs pads to polish with meguires (i think liquid gloss wax) use the meguairs shampoo that came in a box from halfords with the wax. then buff off with a microfibre. personally i have found mer to be a better polish but hey !
