Well I have to compete with boxsters and carrera soft tops who are so cool that they leave the hoods down while popping to buy their vintage champagne and caviar - unsure whether I will try this next summer ( parking with hood down - not buying champagne ) - lots of seagulls about even if few hoodlums.

Nah, bollocks to that; 'arse over tit' is fine

Yep, me too - also swing nose in at an angle and use two bays (as there are always a myriad other spaces available). Mind you, I did once come back to the car (still parked all on its own, miles from any other) to find an anonymous note under my wipers saying, "A person who has the intelligence to own and drive a car like this should have the intelligence to park it properly" How sad is that

Having caught the front lip on mine a couple of times on kerbs when parking, I am now strictly a 'backside first - front sticking out' sort of person.

I find the length a lot easier to judge when reversing. That nose is just sooooooooo long!

I tend to reverse in due to the various reasons that you have all come up with, BUT I do think the a*** end is one of the cars best features and I love to admire it as I approach.
