it will get dented.

live with it.
What he said.

In moments of "ooh, wouldn't an Aston be nice", I've always thought that you need to be able to not only afford an Aston, but be able to afford not to worry about it too much to actually use it.

I know exactly what you mean and share your frustration. I have the luxury of being able to park in a proper space at home but your situation also transfers over to supermarket car-parks. I've come back to my car in the past to find paint missing, scratches etc etc and it annoys the hell out of me that people just drive off. I have even witnessed people scraping another car before now and seen him drive off and will be the first to write the reg down on a bit of paper and put it on the windscreen.........because frankly I hope someone would do the same for me. Maybe i'm just too trusting!!
IMO, if you get it fixed, the same thing will happen again and you'd have wasted your money. Very annoying though!!
been there - done it myself. i hope the (female) driver of the damaged car bitch slapped the woman who couldn't figure out what the car was stuck against and just kept going!

I'd expect someone todo the same for me!

Not just you.

We are house hunting at the moment and a drive is an absolute minimum for us. Found a gorgeous house but on street parking so it's a no no.

I park as far away from anyone in a car park or in one of the end slots if available and even then it's parked over so that the person who will undoubtedly come and park next to me doesn't door ding it.

Someone has given it a minor ding in the company car park so now I get in early and get one of the oversized parking spots that the line marking people cocked up on

I used to park on the street when I lived in Cardiff. Nice quiet street in a cul-de-sac. Regularly used to come out and find the local taxi had sandwiched me in. He would get home at silly-O'clock and wedge himself into a space as close to his house as possible.

Had the argument with him one day when I made him get out of bed and move to let me out - his response was that his radio was worth £2k which was half the value of my car so I should park round the corner and he would have a space! Oh and he admitted he bounced off the bumpers of the cars in front and behind "because that's what they are for"!

No point in arguing with idiots and logic like that - just make sure your space infront and behind is ALWAYS smaller then their car!

I hate everyone in car parks...so I park far away...doesn't stop stupid bloody Ford Galaxy's from parking right next to you though

I've not had much luck on the bump/scrape front...my S is still looking a little poorly

If someone does hit my car, and I can prove it was them, then I am prepared to go all the way to get them to pay for the damage they inflicted.

I'm that anal, I've considered rigging up some CCTV in the S, so that anyone who dents/scrapes it can be held accountable.

people seem to use other cars as a reference point to park even if you're as far away as possible - feckin sheep

I have serious psychological issues with cars and parking.
I am exactly the same.

My car is my pride and joy, plus I am also a perfectionist. When I park in a car park I ALWAYS park right down the centre of 2 spaces and park away from anyone else. Yet some tw*t always comes and trys to park next to me and it's usally a sh*tter, typical.....

I'm just as perfectionist when it comes to washing it so that makes it worse, probably boarding on obsession, ha ha.

Mr M you are not alone

Or attaching a high voltage current the car to stun offenders?
