Default petrol prices

Is it just me or have petrol prices gone up rather a lot recently? Have just filled up with Optimax and it was 80.9 ppl

There is a 3ppl price difference between two Shell garages 15 miles apart and guess which one is closer

I'm fed up to the backteeth contributing 80% to the government every time I fill up

I've paid between 79.9 and 84.9 per litre for Optimax over my 10 day 2000 mile adventure. Oddly, the cheapest fuel was to be had at the out-of-the-way Shell close to the SM4 hotel. Optimax was generally cheaper, and more readily available in Scotland.

Shell keep Optimax prices higher at some petrol stations in my area, usually the service station types with "restaurants" attached on out of town dual carriageways where people probably won't see another petrol station for 20 miles unless they leave the route to search out a town petrol station.

All you can do is make sure your drive to get your "paper" goes past one of the cheaper ones

I always go to Shell Ottershaw whose prices tend to be so expensive, I don't notice anymore as it scares me.

Don't ever remember it being below 80p there though......
