Default Pick up my S on Friday!

Well having been a lurker for a long time on the forum, and deciding against an S when I bought my 350Z I never quite got the S out of my mind.

Hence my 03 350Z is being traded in for an 03 S, in black with red leather! my favourite combination!

Can't wait to pick it up and get back in a cabriolet!

Mike

Hi Mike

I'm considering changing to the 350Z Coupe next year. Any thoughts?

Loved the way the car looked, and absolutely loved the engine. The car is absolutely perfect for what it was designed for. Being a GT.

I swapped into the 350Z from an MR2 roadster, and I really missed the lightweight feel of the MR2. I should have known at the time that the 350 wasn't a 'sports' car, in the same vein but I guess i expected it to be go-kart like the MR2 was. When you were cornering hard in the 350, you would get quite a lot of understeer. Don't get me wrong the 350 for its size is a fantastic handling car, with a very easy to control chassis.

I contemplated modifying it to get it to the standard I wanted, but felt ultimately I was better off swapping. The fact that the clutch went at 11,000 miles and cost

welcome to the fold!

i considered buying a 350Z but decided on the S instead - may buy a Z in the future - you never know.

i think you'll miss the extra torque that the Z has over the S but you'll soon get used to using the gears to get the most out of the car.

btw the S is a roadster - not a cabriolet! the word cabriolet should only be used when talking about old ford escort versions

there may be some cheap fizzy wine kicking about called cabriolet too i'd imagine
