My short list of two cars is the S and the 350Z - I've just had test drive of the Z and all I can say is wow - what a fantastic car. Everything about it feels so good, from the seating position to the stability at high speeds (100kp/h of course!). That engine is astonishing - I used to think the Lexus 4.3 V8 was nice, but this is better still. In gear acceleration is something to behold - I felt like I was being punched in the back at times. I felt glued to the car and the car felt glued to the road.

I'm planning to take out the S2000 shortly too and then it will be decision time, but it's gonna be a tough decision if it proves as good as the Z. Obviously the S has an advantage in that it doesn't have a roof!

Nah, saw one in Houston a couple of weeks ago and I don't like it with the roof up - would have been better with a folding metal job so that the look was ruined.

Make sure you rev the nuts off it! I've heard many people test drive an S2000 and say it's not fast. Then I ask them how much they revved it and many of them said 'oh, up to 6/7 thousand rpm'

Tricky decision though, both great cars.

That's because it's lardy. The S would also be very stable at high speed if you filled the boot full of bricks

(I find the S stable enough at speed exactly as it is )

Amazing how many 350Z's have already been sold.
I pass 3 every morning on my run to work. I only ever see another S about once a month.
