Default PLM Manifold

After exhausting the search, I have come to the conclusion that BlueMonster and few more of you have fitted the PLM Manifold from the States. I am thinking of getting one but wondering if they fit a RHD car as it says on their website that they do not. Did you have to do any modifications to make it fit and how do you fit a manifold!?

Many thanks for your help,

Graham

From what I've seen, manifolds designed for LDH cars end up very close to the steering rack.

Yeh, but apparently the PLM is a close replica of J's Racing manifold (which is why I am interested as got a J's 70RS on order) and therefore, it should fit RHD if it is a close replica?

You need to put a dent in one of the primary pipes.

Engine damper is the way to go rather than restrict airflow by denting the pipe.

I can't rate this manifold highly enough - a fantastic piece of kit PLM Header

I have PLM as said it does touch the steering column under heavy cornering. I am going to get stiffer engine mounts. It's a good mani for the money.

What were the welds like inside?

I wouldnt fancy putting a dent in it, I've seen dented exhausts effect pulse width e.g performance on one car.

Looks good so far, I'm not interested in buying one I'm happy with my tracysports just helping Graham. Its just they show no pictures (apart from one) of the welds inside specifically where the pipes join.

Graham if you can ask the seller for inside pics of the manifold and there are no issues, get it bought

Blue you bought yours from my housemate Paul didn't you? If so his was a bit better fit than mine but the welds on mine seemed bit smoother, so I do think that the price reflects that the QC is not as high as a part from someone like J's racing.
