Quick question....

I got an SP30 in July 2000 resulting in 3 points.

As this is Sept 2003...am I now free of the points ??

They stay on your license but they don't count towards the 12-point ban.

I believe they are valid for 3 years after that they stay on your license for another year then you can take them off. After 3 years then you no longer have them, lost 3 ponts myself last week !!

Thanks Lads...I'll leave them as decoration for another year then !!

That should reduce my insurance next time round though

Me too, my insurance this year was 9 points was 1350 !!!

With only 6 points its 1000

Bit of a difference. no points is 560 !!!

Shipley, I wouldn't automatically assume that it will reduce your insurance - some insurers ask you for details of all convicitions and endorsements during the last five years, so even if the points are no longer active they could still be taken into account in determining the premium.

Have they no shame ?

Did their parents not get married ??

It was only 37 in a 30..hardly drunk in charge or taking and driving away...

I do wonder about our laws sometimes......

I'm beginning to think old Frenchie (Pete ) had the right idea in moving to la Belle France !!
