Default Powerbulbs

I found the powerbulbs site and I'm thinking of upgrading the main beams - has anyone done this before ?

What type to get, and difficulty with installing them ?

Yes. Try searching and you'll find all the answers, what bulbs, how to install etc.

Here's a link to the type of bulb which has been bought and fitted by a number of board members.

http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/product...&type=H112V100W

Being entirely lacking in confidence of my own abilities when it comes to anything practical, I'm going to have mine fitted by my dealer when the car is in later this week to have a new gearbox fitted. The Service Manager said he didn't think it would take much more than 10-15 minutes, so would only cost me a tenner or so.

Fitted them last weekend using Brian's advice posted on a link (your advice was spot on Brian!). It took my ten thumbs 30 minutes to fit the first one and no more than 15 minutes to fit the second bulb. However, I think I need ot adjust the hieght as the bulbs seem to be focused to close to the car at present.
Make sure you have a torch!!!

Pete, I meant to ask you at the mini-meet - how do you adjust the main beam level? I've done a search and I'm always dubious about US advice because they have (or at least used to have) different headlight units. Is there a hex bolt adjustment? Mark T thought you were the man in the know.

i also have the 100w rally high beams but they too look a bit high and a little off-set to each other, would love 2 know how 2 adjust!

also have the silvervision front indicators cos the 2002MY has clear lenses and have the bluevision side lights (much better) cos they came free, all were a doddle to change and took less than an hour.
