IMHO yes. It sounds 'cleaner', when you've got the lid off it sounds like there's something missing. Funny that

I went standard > cover off > PRM > standard.

There seemed to be very slight decrease in power with the cover off but no difference between cover on or PRM.

I also think the PRM looks nasty, but I only ever opened the bonnet to check the oil so not a problem for me

Ah the old Spanish City

K&N make extremely good filters, its their bread and butter so the quality is top notch.

I would say that technically, the AEM is better due to where it takes its air from, but on the move there is little difference. The AEM is a bit more tricky to fit.

The K&N doesnt need a hydrolok valve as it cant suck in water from where it is (you got more to worry about than the filter if you get water that high!)

The AEM valve is an extra - up to you whether you buy it.

I've got a PRM installed, read on here that the throttle feels slightly wooly. Would go along with that. Sounds good though and def. less chavvy than a loud exhaust.

Personally I think it looks quite flash under the bonnet.

Used to love going there as a kid!

If you were near Cheshire I might have been able to get you a free one fitted
