Default Problem - help

Hi, so I picked my S up last week and I love it . But for the first time, this morning, driving to work, I notice almost like a kangarooing as I was driving, not just on deceleration but mid drive as well, has anyone encountered this?

I tried a few gear changes and the same happened in them! It's almost as if its hanging onto revs, as if I'm revving it myself, but obviously I'm not, but it's as if it only does that for seconds.

Any help would be great!!

Laurence

Have a read of the Frequently Asked Questions here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/301...st__p__5798522 Lots of help there.

(Also, in future, could you please be a bit more specific with your thread titles, as you are more likely to get help that way, thanks).

Yeah, the car is completely stock, a 2006. It did it this morning again, seems to be revving / pulling forward a little bit as if i was on and off the accelerator, but i'm not! I lift off completely and its still there!

Is yours a DBW model? You can identify it easiest from black slider on center console. Is it happening only with cold engine and low revs?

The DBW units dont take kindly to standing around so if it haddn't been used for a few weeks before you got it that could be the issue and will clear itself after a few drives.
If it dosn't then as Lovegroover said there is a topic in the FAQ section that covers everything to do with hesitation and kangerroing.

I think it had been sat for three weeks or so prior to me buying it! And it's not on cold start, it's after it's warmed up!

I'll keep an eye on It and if in a few weeks it hasn't resolved itself, I'll have another check!

Cheers for your help guys!
