Protecting from Stone Chips
I bought it from Halfords but I think they have stopped selling it.
Pretty sure it was made by ventureshield, but most of the manufacturers will sell it by the metre if you ask.
Don't bother with their applicator sprays, by a small garden sprayer and add a couple of squirts of fairy liquid to a pint. Always keep your fingers wet with the stuff when handling or you will leave fingerprints on it.
Squirt it onto the panel and on the adhesive side of the plastic, it will then slide around on the panel for positioning, when in place squeegee to fix.
Start from the centre outwards to remove bubbles, but fix a couple of the edges first to hold it in place(just squeegee the edge).
For complex curves uses a hair dryer to soften the plastic during the squeegeeing process.
I made paper patterns, just superglued A4 card together to get the required size and layed it on the car, pencil marked, cut with scissors slightly large and then did fine adjustments until perfect.
Clay bar the panels and polish with glaze polish before fixing, I used Meguires #2 of their three part system.
Good luck if you give it a go
