Default Purchasing Modifications.

Hi All,

If it isnt too much trouble, please could you help me with a few contact details of suppliers for Exhausts and Induction Kits etc... I am looking to upgrade.

I have read alot of your posts over the past few weeks and I have seen how impressed you all are by these modifications.

I want to be part of your gang!

Thank you in advance

Marcus.

It depends very much which particular exhausts and/or intakes you have in mind, Marcus! Any particular ones take your fancy.....?

(I see you're a mancunian - if you want to see/hear the Amuse dual titanium exhaust and PRM intake in action, come along to the Manc Mini Meet tomorrow night - 7.30 in Alderley Edge. There's a thread in the Meets board )

There are some suppliers listed here, on the Benefits --> Suppliers section:

http://www.s2kuk.com

They offer discounts to UK S2000 Owners Club members too.

There are many other suppliers too. Depends what specifically you would be looking for

Thanks Lurking Lawyer,

I am unsure of which route to go down at this moment in time. I have sampled the sound of various exchaust setups (from a link I came across on one of the threads) and they all sound very well.

I wouldnt mind a setup that gives a great sound under high revs, but maybe quite similar to the original setup during normal day to day driving. Dont get me wrong, I like the roar of a nice exhaust but I dont want something too over the top.

As for the intake, I am open to suggestions. Or maybe I will just go with the exhaust first then consider an intake at a later stage. I am more than happy with the standard engine sound, especially after changing from an Audi TT.

I will definitely attend some of the meets in the near future. I only picked my car up 5 days ago (private purchase), and I havent had chance to clean it up properly yet. Once I have had chance to give it a thorough clean I will make an appearance.

Thanks guys

Marcus

I certainly wouldn't stress about its appearance! It's winter, so dirty cars are allowed! The Alderley Edge meet is more a social thing - pub grub, a drink and a chat. And a chance to look at what other people have done to mod their cars, since you're interested.

The HKS exhaust is a popular choice - sounds really good under load, more "throaty" than the stock exhaust but is still "liveable" if you have to do lots of motorway driving. Budget around

.........or combine the HKS racing suction kit with the HKS exhaust. Sounds great!. I had a PRM on with the exhaust (briefly) which was good but the full HKS kit is even better!.

So much choice......

I think its going to be a case of having a listen to some of your fine examples of setups when I get a chance to. Ive rushed into things before, and you only regret it.

HKS does seem to be one of the more popular/favourite choices of exhaust from what I have read so far. As I am new, I am still soaking up all of the information (similar to a PRM intake soaking up heat)

Thanks for your help so far.

I know that there are some suppliers listed on the main site but is there a more definative list of suppliers somewhere on the forum? I searched in google for S2000 performance / S2000 parts etc etc and it doesn't come back with much.

It would be good if there was a thread that people could reveiw suppliers they've used and recommend and what kind of service / price they received...

There is, Karl - it's the Feedback thread stuck at the top of the FS&W board.

(Admittedly, it's probably of limited use for present purposes since most of it tends to be rating private sellers from the board - but there are some ratings for external suppliers too, I think)
