Okay so I know there are 2x 239 festoon bulbs in the interior light unit. Im wanting to change them to LEDs as I've seen various users (*ahem* Lovegroova *ahem*) with them and they look visually appealing. Having a look at eBay:

My question is, would the size / dimensions of those fit? (Due to the bigger circuit board etc..) Or if someone can link me to some eBay ones that they have purchased and thus I know will fit etc.. would be very much appreciated.

Also, my S has now reached 106K. I've ordered a TCT from Billman as the missus is in new york at the moment and she will be bringing that back with her in a weeks time. Whilst changing the TCT, I'll also be changing the alternator belt with a gates item for peace of mind. I normally change the oil every 3000 miles (so thats approx. every 3 - 4 months) so castrol will be going in as well as part of the TCT fitting.

Apart from checking valve clearances which I will do when I take the rocker cover off to peel off the old paint and apply a fresh new coat at some point next month, what else should I be looking to do over the summer as part of servicing / maintenance; bearing in mind its age. A geo is on the cards as well; I had it checked by WiM a year ago and whilst they said it wasn't out; the bolts were stiff (or seized; the chap in question didn't want to find out) so will be attacking those over the summer as I have access to a ramp

 

Under seal,done mine last year as very scarce underneath floor pans and inner sill areas underneath,
mine is 04 MY.

 

Mine's the same year. Will add undersealing to the list; I really need to crack on and sort out geo though. Anything else comes to mind? AJ mentioned possibly the fuel filter sock, but those are meant to be a lifetime item; will probably change it when swapping out fuel pumps for the future turbo build.

 

If you want more interior light, try painting the inside bits silver.

It works a lot better than battleship grey.
