Quick Roof Question
Hello fellow S2000 Owners!
I have had my S for around 6 months or so now, but noticed during this particularly wet winter that some very very (and I mean very) light mould build up is happening on the inside of the roof.
I got a cloth and it all wiped off fine - but is this anything to worry about, or just stay on top of it and keep it clean?
Do the roof's need re-sealing or such like?
Thanks and see some of you in the Isle of Man!
Wayne.

Nothing too much to worry about I'd say, just catch it early and wipe off as you've done. Providing you have no obvious leaks around the edges of tears in the roof, greasing the soft top seals with silicone grease as per the owners manual will help keep them supple and providing a good seal. Aerospace 303 Protectant used sparingly is good for keeping the outside of the soft top in good condition.
It'll be due to moisture build up in the car because of all the damp weather recently, when you get in with a wet coat on etc. I always try to drive mine at least once a week for quarter of an hour or so with the air con on to help dehumidify the interior and keep the air con in good working order too, distribute the oil to keep the seals from perishing. Putting a decent sized sachet of silica gel somewhere in the passenger compartment would also help to absorb moisture.

I get the same. Personally I'm not bothered. With the plastic window condensation builds up quite quickly on the iside. I guess i starts from there. If you wipe it off regularly it'll be fine.
You're a v luckly man with the IOM to play with. Have been over a few times (not with the S yet). We took a Nissan Primera hire car over the mountain road going to Ramsay. The brakes were smoking by the time we reached Ramsay, poor thing only had 600miles on the clock when we picked it up. You've got to love hire cars.
