Default Quick tyre question

Hello.

current wheels: 8inch front, 9inch rear. Buying some tyres. Will 235 fit up front and 255 rear without rubbing? Car is slightly lower, not stupid.

purely track car, very minor road use.

I want as much grip as possible, current tyres are 225 40, 245 45. Will increase width from the above spec work?

Rear 255mm tires fit the OEM 17" wheels and standard car with no alterations. Aftermarket wheels or severely lowered and you're on your own. I run OEM 215mm on the front.

What camber Mike?

If the fronts are +48 then you might have a slight rub, but only if very low and not much camber.

Mine are 8' +50 and my 235s rub slightly, but mine is mega low at the front ( tyre just below the arch)

225 it is. In all honesty I've never had any issue with 225 grip on the front end.....yet

thanks for the replies. Tyres ordered.

You might a bit more if you put 255 on the back, but would have to be pretty in tune with it to notice.
