Rattle/vibration from Dashboard
Hello,
Haven't really looked into it yet but i've a rather annoying rattle/vibration coming from the dashboard most noticable at low speed on bumpy roads, has anyone had anything similar? With a highly sprung car you sort of expect this sort of thing but i thought it was worth an ask....??
I see the FAQ says look at the rear view mirror & boot latch has anyone else had any further experience, I had a quick look but i cant see anything obvious to tighten up.
Cheers

I had a very frustrating day with something similar.
The sound seemed to be emanating from just under the airbag. So everytime it rattled i would give it a rather aggressive whack. This made me feel a bit better but did not help.
At the end of the day i checked the seatbelt ( a known problem on this site ). Low and behold it was touching one to the roof cover pins.
Doh.
Problem solved.

I had jus the sort of rattle you describe in the same sort of circumstances. I would have sworn it was coming from the dash.
It turned out to be the drivers side sun visor!
Next time it happens, just reach up and lower the visor down half an inch. You never know, it may be the same problem.

Spooky I was talking to a Honda techie about the very same rattle yesterday.
Apparantly the wiring loom runs under the centre of the dash and is held in place with nasty clips that tend to vibrate.
Now the only way to access said loom is by removing the airbag.
two 10 mm bolts under the dash and dissconnect te bag and remove. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first.
I'll have a go at some point and post up a how to, as and when
