Rear brake pad replacement
I tried to replace the rear pads today, but couldnt get the piston to move back into the caliper to give me enough room to fit the new pads, I got the impression that the piston should screw back into the caliper, but it seemed pretty stuck, so didnt want to force it in case I broke something.
Can anyone confirm that the rear pistons do indeed screw back into the caliper, and if so I presume they are just a regular thread, and not some left handed thing?

when i took mine apart they did not screw out i blew them out with compressed air, when i put them back in the did screw in but then honda said no they don't, where very hard to get back in though, pressure i guess. hope this helps you.
I know on the Rover 200 they indeed screw back in the anticlockwise position...cost my father-in-law a Haynes manual to find that out....
I'm presuming you have taken the lid off your brake fluid reservoir so the pressure is relieved when you are pushing / screwing back.....

Never done the back but i know that on the front they do push back in on my MY00, they were very difficult to get back in but I managed by pushing with the shaft of a screwdriver. Push as hard as necessary, you shouldn't break anything.
