Default Rear lights

This may be a really silly question, but being a new S2000 owner, I am just finding stuff out!! Do the new shape headlamps (mainly rear, but interested in both) fit straight into an S2000 with the old shape (i.e. 2001)??

I only ask as I know the MR2 revised lamps don't fit the old shape and had to be modded slightly.

Kerrie - ask michael ferguson, i saw his at MM2, and he's done this - he had a little adjustment to do.

I'll move this to where mike will see it

Yep, I've done the full conversion to my car, the headlights are a direct fit to the car, except you have to buy new indicator holders,
As for the rear lights, they are a bit more tricky as the bulbs are set out differently to the older versions, therefore there are slight alterations required to make them fit. Not a big job by any means, but it can be tricky, If your interested pm me and il give you more precise details, But all told its not the hardest thing in the world to do and well worth it I reckon

the mounting holes in the rear plate that the lights bolt to are in the wrong position. in order to make the 04+ lights fit you will need to cut out some of the rear panelling to accept the new bolting pattern. Not the biggest job in the world and sounds scarier than it really is.

Front lights are a direct bolt in, especially if you purchase the 04+ ballasts, although they are expensive. You can use the 00-01 ballasts with modification.
