Default Recognition!!!..at last :-)

After all the chat on the board about being mistaken for MX5's etc.

02:00 this morning in a filling station...
Young guy - "That's a Honda S2000... I'd kill for one of those!"
Obviously a person of taste and discernment.

While browsing around Halfords an ex work mate came across to me and said "Is that your S200 outside?" He'd spotted the Honda alarm fob in my hand. So he nearly knew what it was. I'm always impressed when someone actually knows what the car is.

I only met one person who could identify the car and that was because a relative of his had one.

Someone thought mine was a TVR a couple of weeks back - had to explain that it was very similar but didn't break down as much !

I think the stook looks a lot like a TVR with the hardtop on.

There are a number of TVR's around me but they all seem a bit 'iffy' about the Honda - unlike the guy with a 'go-faster' nurburgring 911 who is quite chatty

ive never had my car mistaken for an MX5, although someone did think it was a lotus and another asked me if its the new MG (@sshole!). i do remember tho, one saturday afternoon id pulled up and run into my local store to get some milk (no no no not another excuse to go for a blast - i did need some honest!), and as i walked out there were these two kids standing by my car. i thought ut oh, and walked over in order to stop anything they were going to do. these kids must have been about 9/10/11 years old roughly and the conversation i had went like this:

me: excuse me, thats my car can you move away
kids: thats one of those s2000s isnt it
me: yes
kids: is if fast
me: faster than your bike
kids: is it true it has 240bhp and is the fasted naturally aspirated 2 litre car in the world?
me: (stunned) yes

this kid knew more about the car than most adults i meet!! good on him i say!
