Hi Martin,

Sorry to hear of your woes

I think a PM to MB or Bibbs or Mikey_k might prove useful, as these guys have had/have forced induction, so the chances are that they will know about a suitable OBD-II reader.

Good luck.

I bought one of these last night

If it doesn't work I'll get a GS300 from MB

I am pretty sure the GS100 will work Andrew, its what I use on my own car. I just go for the 300 as they tend to work on more European cars too.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks MB.

Think I'll keep an eye out for a -300, as the wife has a Pug and friends have Renaults / Fords / all-sorts.

Would you PM me please if you get one in and I haven't refreshed this thread with 'I've got one'.

Cheers for now,

M.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've recently bought a Geniscan GS300. When I plug it in to the OBD port in the car, all I get is "Link Error"
I've tried it on a Nissan and a Vauxhall and it comes up with a menu system as shown in the manual near enough straight away.
Does it only 'connect' to the S2000s OBDII system if there is a fault code generated ?

Many Thanks

Yea I get the same with one of these:

http://www.uiftech.com/productlist.jsp?Sea...chSelect=PartNo

I though it was because you needed a CEL code to be present but that wasn't the case (I had an O2 sensor go).

I bought this one because I believed Honda used the CAN protocol on the later models (mine is a MY06) but all i get is Link Error.

I had an older one (can't remember the model) that got the same problem and I sold it to Mark (DBM / MB) and it worked on his previous S2000

Havoc - will do.

Hi MZN

Helios, the link error basically means it cant communicate with the ECU.

Have you got the ingition on and car de-immobilised?

If you follow the instructions to a tee and it doesnt work then it may be faulty.

Both the GS100 and 300 work on my MY00!
