I am sure there is an equation somewhere whereby 1 topless mile = 10 top up miles; hence as long as the low mileage is topless, it is acceptable...

And if there isn't there should be!

it's easy to so few miles when you use a beater for the week....

around 96 'driving days' per year....of which some will be raining and I am doing 'family stuff'

On renewal I am insuring the car based on 2500 a year which is all I do in all honesty

I rarely if ever use the car roof up....most of the time it sits in the garage with the tonneau on and under a car cover

All top down, especially at night

Zero - is it a good idea to keep the roof folded for long periods?

I thought you started using the S for commuting, Zero?

If that's the case were your 1000 miles all done within a 3 week period?

I have a beater but I still use the S2000 for commuting when the weather's good. I've done about 3000 miles since mid November

Bored! You have got to be joking Paul. I drove my car 22,000 miles in its first year and I don't even do 1 mile of commuting. I didn't even drive the car to Europe to add up those miles but not for one minute could I say I was bored.

Tired from cleaning the damn thing yes but never bored. This is one car where I enjoyed every minute of it and it is the only car I can say that about. I have driven plenty of nice sporty cars but I always got bored after owning them for 6-8 months but the S has that special something, something I just can't explain. Either it has it or it doesn't and the S really does.

I've done more than that since last weekend and I don't commute in it!

I thought you were one of the "Hardcore" Zero.

1000 miles in a year? Hardly worth Taxing it!

Same here. I hardly drive mine, like it when I do, get bored when too much but just cant sell the feckin thing coz its like the brother I never had.Its part of me but I should flog it I just can't manage to go through with it. Now I have a 20k Passat and a 25k S. Prolly spend 1500 a year on insurance for em, then 320 on tax - of which I put 10k on the dub and feck all on the S. Accept no immitations, I am a tw@t.
