Default Redlining Everyday?!?!

Everyday I redline my car, I know the car has to be driven like this to obtain maximum power but am i going to affect the reliability in anyway. S2000 reviews indicate reliability simular to that of a civic, i redlined my civic everyday for 3 years and nothing went wrong. what can i expect to go ping first? has anyone got any horror stories. Ive heard the s2k has a few DIRVESHAFT ISSUES or maybe ive heard wrong.
does anyone know how much an s2k gearbox costs?
Thanks

I was going to start a new thread asking the opposite!...... does anyone NOT redline their S every day!

This morning was the first day in months where I haven't had the chance to even hit VTEC let alone redline!...... I was very p*ssed off by the time I got to work!.

But to answer your question the S is designed to have the nuts revved off it so I wouldn't worry about things going bang especially if you've had all the recall work done (oil bolts and spark plugs being the main ones to worry about)!.

I've not heard about driveshaft issues but the clutch is prone to wear and the gearbox can get difficult after a while...... if you are under warrenty any problems should be fixed by Honda without too much hastle!

I've always thought that small engined cars would be most likely to be effect by this, if you've got 1 l car you've got to rev the nuts off it to get it moving at any pace...

after the track day yesterday...i.e going through 1st/2nd/3rd and almost 4th the car had a noticeably more pronounced VTEC kick

I defo think these cars need 'stretching' from time to time....ing about changing at 6000/7000 does the car no favours

I VTEC most days, but do not not redline everyday, don't really see the point either. If I am giving someone a race or if I am going on a spirited drive I am likely to hit the red quite a lot though.
