Default Relocating the Radio

Hi all,
I am having some gauges fitted as part of the supercharger install.
Has anyone moved the radio that has pictures or a rough guide on how they did it to the secret compartment? I suppose it could go in the boot but thats a bit far away for me even though i barely touch the thing.

Another option i was toying with was a smaller radio that could still fit in behind the gauges? I've googled the shiz out of this one but turned up empty handed.

Any help greatly appreciated

You can get flat gauges modded to sit in the radio door. I've seen this done a few times, looks very neat.

Looks like 'he' moved the gauge faces over and fitted the gauge 'back end' somewhere else.

You could put a small power amplifier in one of the usual places (under / behind the passenger seat or on top of the fuel tank). Hook up a bluetooth receiver and link up to your phone .

Do you have any links to hardware that can do this?
Would like to keep the radio function or be able to listen to the radio as well.

Not sure how much work you want to put into it but you could use a JDM dash with the double din slot in it.

  1. A smartphone of some sort (some have FM Radio built in but with a decent data package you can use an App such as Tune In Radio)
  2. Any power amplifier will do, something like this: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ampl...lpine-pmx-t320 or pick something from here: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ampl...o-channel-amps
  3. Bluetooth receiver like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-T...8186972&sr=8-4 which comes with a connector to allow you to connect it to the amplifier, but you might want a longer lead like this:

seems like a good idea, so all i would need to do is find the wires from the speakers and plug them into the amp.

Wonder if these mini amps are small enough to fit in the storage box. if not then behind the gauges

Something like an Alpine KTP-445u will fit behind the passenger "glove box" panel so it's be much easier in terms of wiring to the existing speakers.
