Default Removing Seats?

Got the big clean planned this week and as part of that I want to have seats out. Is it as straight forward as unbolting four or so bolts from seat rails and lifting them out?

Are there any other connections under seat I need to be mindful of and do you need roof down??

Cheers

Si

Roof down makes it easier and there's a seat belt warning connector you have to watch out for - other than that ... piece of cake.

Piece of cake and no seat belt warning connector to worry about on older cars.

You can get the seats out with the roof up but it is so much easier roof down.

There will likely be a seat belt warning light on the drivers side at a minimum, regardless of age. My '99 is certainly sporting one.

my JDM 00my has drivers side sensor.
i find it best to remove all 4 bolts, than i can tilt the seat base back to get more room.

roof down definitely helps though!

Cool thanks guys, car is '04 so think it will have one I guess ice bolts are out it's easy to access and disconnect.

Going to pop hard top off first, inspect roof and motor/operation then whip the seats out.

Thanks chaps

If you have both seats out and the drivers side base is a bit worn / saggy - you can unbolt it and swap it over to the passenger side ....
