Default Replacing a rear 1/4 panel....

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone on here knows a ballpark figure for the cost of a replacement rear 1/4 panel fitted?

Im thinking of buying a car with rear 1/4 damage. I know its a right PITA to replace but at the price the car is I could maybe afford to sort it....

I wouldn't bother. I'm pretty sure it's part of the shell, so welding would be required.

If you are adamant that you want it, take it to a few bodyshops. We can't give accurate quotes over the internet without seeing what's needed.

Horrible job on most cars.

I'd rather reshape than cut out & let in a rear quarter. You can never properly rustproof all those awkward bits round the wheelarch & boot shut & sill.

The S is extremely expensive to repair with rear quarter panel damage. many get written off because of it.
The panel is difficult to replace and odds are if the panel is FUBAR major parts of the rear suspension/diff/drive shaft are are as well.
Unless you've got the right facilites and experience of doing it before on an S I'd leave it!
