Default Restoring red leather seats

Hi, I'm trying to spruce my S2ks interior up a little bit, and the first thing I was wanting to sort out is the drivers seat which is worn a fair bit on the bolster with cracks in the leather.

I'm struggling to find any guidance on this subject on the forum; has anyone had any joy getting decent results using leather restore kits at all?

Cheers

Yes there are some kits available, have a search on here.

But the results are never as good as people make them out to be IMO, thats not to save they can't be vastly improved its just never going to look like a new seat.

IIRC gliptone scuff master is as good as you can get overall.

There are a few companies that sell the products for you to do it yourself. Such as this:

http://furnitureclinic.co.uk/Colour_Charts.php

Lots of guides on you tube on repainting the leather in your car. I know that one chap on here (Mug3n) was able to obtain some leather paint for his red seats, it may even have been a special order colour matched to a patch from the car.

I've just ordered a leather repair kit from Performance Motorcare .

Kit comes with cleaner , filler , colour , sealer etc .

Apparently you mix the colour to get the proper shade then seal it it .

You can get different kits , in different colours to suit the damage to your car .

Gotuning is where i got the covers from, made by Clazzio and they're still almost perfect. The only 'gotcha' is that they raise the seat position a fraction as they add about 1/4" of material thickness.

Far far far better than anything Honda used on the later cars.

Tommy @ Gotuning is a trader on here and spot on to deal with as I think others have said.

Any chance you could update on results when you get it? I've made enquiries with Dynamix (who had quite good reviews when I did some googling and seemed to have a colour match) who didn't get back to me, so just sent an enquiry to Gliptone (liquid leather) to see whether they've got a dye for my red seats.

Thanks for all the other advice. I'm not after a retrim as I need to curb my spending on the S
