It's the fuel filler - endurance car aren't allowed to pump the fuel in under pressure, so they suck it in instead.

The fuel goes in one hole and the air in the tank is sucked out the other.

Not too sure on this one myself - I'm guessing that as S2Ki don't host the photo, only the hyperlink to the image elsewhere, that there is not copyright infringement. Perhaps our moderate moderators can clarify ?

If I try to imagine it without the wing and other race bolt-ons I think it it could look pretty good.

I'd be careful about buying one, though - presumably you'd have to fit it yourself and it would be hard to return if the seals etc don't fit properly.
Certainly more hassle than returning to your local Honda dealer as with the OEM version.
