Default Roof down, windows up.

Driving around the last couple of days there have obviously been a lot of convertibles about, I must have seen about 15+ and I started to notice that every single one of them had their windows fully up.

I don't know about everybody else but personaly I feel this ruins the look of the car a bit, I only have the windows up when necessary like on the motorway, it just seems a bit odd to me all these convertible drivers cruising round at 20mph with their windows up? Or maybe it's just not hot enough yet?

I've noticed this too! I think it's more to do with thr wind, especially when turning at junctions. I agree it ruins the looks though.

There is a lot less buffeting with the windows up and it makes a big difference to how hot the heater makes the interior.

Makes no difference to me, i drive with it off anytime, middle of the night in winter, when its raining ect

I have to say, I'm a bit paranoid when driving past dodgy pedestrians at low speeds, so I'll leave the windows up.. Also it cuts a lot of external noise so you can actually hear the stereo! I usually keep them down though, verts look a bit weird with the roof down and windows up.. The other day I saw a 3 series with the rear 3/4 window up but the drivers window down!

So how hard is it to type the whole word? Never heard it called a vert before but perhaps 3 syllables are 2 too many to cope with? If so just use " soft top"
