Default Roofs

Got an MR2, Boxster S, Z4 in the car park.

Doubt they clean their roofs everyday.

So why do theirs look so much BLACKER than mine? It's ok when I stick the Vinyl cleaner stuff on, but it fades after a while.

Is it a problem with our roofs? Not as good quality?

Different materials?

Just interested.

Mine is black. I use Raggtopp.

BTW, the Box and Zorromobile have real mohair, our is a vinyl lookalike, which does make a difference.

Not sure what the emmerdeaux is made of!

The roof on the MR2 Roadster is notorious for going grey. I reckon Mr MR2 is probably using 303 or Autoglymn Vinyl Rubber Care...

Does anyone know what the roof on our S2000 is made from? Is it "fabric" or vinyl?

Canvas, basically, San.

Hence the expression "Rag roof" or "rag top".

My ex-neighbour Lisa used to get right pissed off when cats used to sleep on her Z3. Their fur used to thread into it and it was a bugger to get off again!

Afro Z3, anyone?

Nick - there's loads of Raggtopp products available - which ones are you using and where did you get them from?

303 is good too.
I thought the roof was vinyl though (which confusingly enough is a fabric)
