Default RS6 not as fit as u think

Followed an RS6 Avant today for about 8 miles on country lanes. I could see it was Mum and teenage male offspring on board. I kept dropping back and then closing up.He appears to be craning his neck and encouraging mum to embarrase this toy car that was behind the panzerwagen. Eventually we come to a r/a with dual lanes and it's clear so I follow her in and am right "in the zone" She takes the bait and floors it, in her defence she was probably in 2nd at v.low revs and by the time it spooled up and started pumping I'm alongside. Then it gets going with a bellow but in the space available it could'nt get away.
On an open road with an eager pilot it would mince an S2000 but on short stretches it is'nt as intimidating as

But RS6 is sooooo nice. The big difference comes probably when you hit 100. RS6 will effortlessly keep going to higher speeds when the S2K runs out of steam...

I've got a vid somewhere of a Civic Type-R trying to keep up with one...

I think you said it yourself when stating a mum was driving it You seriously think she'd belt it and risk stacking her bride and joy along with family members? No

The RS6 is the most stunning estate car ever built IMO. It will effortlessly hit the ton in about 11-12 seconds, destroying most cars in its path, and thats with the golden retriever and wellingtons in the boot

You need to remember that the RS6 is highly tunable too. IMO its just a shame that its only got an autobox.

But have you heard the 4.2 V8 Twin turbo roar that it makes
