My S2000 is due for delivery late September or early October, hopefully !! and I can't wait...
My question is regarding running the car in, I know you are not supposed to use the VTEC until after 600 miles, but if you just "happen" to use VTEC now and again before 600 miles will you damage the engine perminantly ??

It is better to build up the rpm slowly and wait until after 600 miles. You will probably need at least that long to get used to the handling of the car. In the future, it will give you greater confidence knowing that your car is properly run in. You will find a number of threads on here that discuss running in in more detail.
