what would the competition have been if the s had been a 2 seater rwd coupe?

come to think about it it would have quite limited appeal.

i still would have bought one.

I would, the novelty of having the roof down wore off ages ago.

The top on mine won't go down for sometime now.

Too hot and too humid. Maybe if there is the odd night when I'm up at 3am and haven't had a drink!

Nope - I was specifically in the market for a rag-top.

I would not have bought it if it were a coupe, only interested in the car as it was a roadster and thats what I was after. Had I not wanted a roadster I think I would have bought an R32 at the time.

i think i may have been very interested if it was a coupe because when i bought mine it was a toss up between the S and a 350Z or an RX7 - the S one in the end for various reasons - one of which was vtec that i became addicted to with my CTR

maybe an S Coupe is the way forward with the usual addendums ie. more power, lighter etc... nice to dream...

no i can't see the point. plenty of better coupes around for the same or less money eg 3.2 carrera, 964, 993, 996 - all used of course. for me part of the fun is the fact it is a convertible and was always designed as one unlike 350z, tt or even 911 convertibles.

I bought it for the drive... after driving it I had to have one! I also loved the fact it was a drop top. I would still have bought it if it were a coupe though. I drove the 2.7 box and would never consider that... there was no fun whatsoever! Dont know what the 3.2 is like though?

I would probably have gone for the Coupe TBH. Especially if it was cheaper. I'm still waiting for one of the japanese manufacturers to come out with a

If it had come out as a coupe everyone would have probably moaned that it wasn't a real roadster as it was built as a coupe first and had the roof chopped...
