Default The S is gone

Well what can I say, I've got bitter sweet emotions. On Friday I sold my S and got a VX220 Turbo
I was going to get another S because they are such great cars but a comment that Lurking Lawyer made got me thinking that a change might be a good idea and the VX was the only one that fit the bill - a bit more extreme.
The S has been a fantastic car in which I enjoyed every moment. Some of the things I will miss about it are; that engine and it's beautiful induction noise, it's looks, quick roof, it's reliability, low servicing costs, 9000rpm .
It's been great meeting fellow owners, going to meets and this forum. I doubt I'll be making as many regular posts as before but will not be a complete stranger to the forum.

Here are a couple of pics of my new toy, mint condition, I'm a very very happy man.

and the view that a fair number of regular motorists will see

Don't think it precludes you from going to meets David.

(IIRC you whipped most of us at Knockhill in your S anyway )

Let's hope the VS doesn't shake itself to bits after a couple of years use!

Can I be cheeky and ask how much you got for the S?

Nice VX by the way

nothing wrong with a change - and let's face it, stayed in the same type of car

it's not as if you've bought a 'performance' diesel

there seem to be quite divided opinions on the VX, but few from owners, let alone ex-S owners

so it would be interesting to hear some objective opinions/comparisons/experiences

good luck with your new car
