...so after the 8hour trip back from Newcastle to Northampton via many diverted b and c roads, i feel like im starting to 'learn' the car a bit better and how it needs to be driven to keep it happy. ive still not had a proper play with the aftermarket stereo as i was quite content listening to the sound out the back of the HKS exhaust

my initial impressions are that the car has limited visibility, its noisy, the ride is er... firm lol, and its terrifying on the motorwy in a monsoon... and for all those reasons and more, I LOVE IT

Limited visibility is much improved by lowering the roof This is not recommended in a monsoon

For quieter running refit the OEM exhaust.

i did encouter this problem half way down the a1m; luckily a 2 hour standstill allowed me the chance to put the roof back down when the rain started to come down, but had the motorway been clear, i would have looked a right muppet.

...a wet one too.

ah, you need the "on the move roof up mod" (do a search) and master of the art of slouching onto slip road, roof up back whilst doing about 10pmh and back out in sub 10 seconds - lack of wetness and not too much of a drama providing the slip road hasn't been coned off for roadworks you get a nice long run in and out and don't actually stop.

i shall do a search. anything that involves cutting wires makes me nervous, but it helps avoid such situations...

There are some mods worth doing on an S - this and heated seats IMO are amongst the top ones, but clearly track oriented ones would be higher on the list for others.

Another Northamptonian!
Get a pic up of the car just incase I spot you.
You may see a random person wave at you in something other than an S2000 as my car is in the bodyshop.
