Default The S2000 in Black and White

Hey guys,

Said a while ago I was going to take a few pictures of my S2000, well the weather was good, the car was spotless, and I had found a nice little spot for a bit of a play, and of course it was a great excuse to test out my new Canon 24-105mm F4 'L' on the 30D!

Images shot tonight, perfect weather, beautiful sunset! Think the Moonrock really looks best in B&W at this time of day with the sun on it, but I really think the best time to shoot this car is when the weather is very overcast (no shadows, very moody). Still going to take some more in the coming weeks in different locations.

Enjoy

A lot of grain on the photos. What are you using?

Photoshop, added 7.5% noise for extra effect.

too much noise. lower the iso and increase the shutter speed on the nice one in the field.

Try swapping channels the reg and blue

The grey will come out much nicer.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try the red and blue channels to see what I can do, see if it has much of an impact. On a really gloomy day I think the clouds could look really cool!

As for the ISO, it was either 100-400 at all times so noise free images, I just added the noise in after

Cheers guys.

Very EVO / OCTANE magazine.
B & W forces you to think more about composition & texture knowing that colour will not be a distraction.
Suggest using the hood cover to hide the pram-like effect of the exposed hood.

The wheels shoud be turned in towards you on the last pic. That would look great.
