Default S2000 Brake Feel

After a few months driving my M3, getting back in the wifes S2000 and the brakes feel extremely week and lack feel.

I almost felt dangerous.

I had the brake pads replaced as they were getting low on the front, genuine honda pads.

The braking is improved slightly but is still not great and still lacks feel.

Would braided hoses improve the brake feel much?

Any other ideas to improve feel, you have to push the pedal down fairly hard and near the bottom of its travel to get a decent amount of braking force.

New brake fluid needed?

Or are you too used to over servoed brakes?

Think the brakes are excellent in the S2000, never driven a BMW so can't comment. If its anything like other German cars I've been in based on that Honda's are better so get checking!

With that setup so you should!

The brave helps by stopping the cylinder flexing on it's mounts (bulkhead)

UF - valid point all new cars I have driven recently give the feel of amazing stopping power. The mini was hugely over servoed!

You could always pop the car down to the local MOT testing station and get them to brake test it for you, how it fares there should tell you whether you have a braking problem at least.

From what you describe you have a brake problem rather than the brakes requiring some sort of upgrade.

OEM flexible hoses are very short and fibre reinforced. Hence little, if any, benefit from braided hoses.
