Default S2000 Commuting - Do you?

As you may know I've only had my S for a month now & have fallen in love big time .

Recently though my office has relocated, which now means a commute in stop/start traffic, not many miles more but the industrial estate is really grotty/ This morning I nearly had the ar5e end of an articulated wagon spliced onto the bonnet as he reversed blindly round a corner. There also seem to be random fires being lit nearby to burn rubbish! I am very paranoid of picking up nails etc (only just bought 2 new rears).

Am I being to prissy it is a car after all, or should I look at getting a 2nd vehicle/new job/retirement ?

Your learned opinions would be welcomed, I just wondered who here commutes in their pride & joy??

Cheers

me, although the commute is only 2-3 miles each way!

Its a car, use it no point having a show car! Just keep it well maintained and cleaned. Im sure you bought it to enjoy it, so do just that! They are good reliable cars. You wont have any problems commuting in it

My Mrs uses ours as a daily even though its on its belly, has a stage 3 clutch and will be supercharged as of monday.

She works for the local council as a planning officer and even goes out on site visits in it during the day. We worked out the costings of buying a second car for her to use but she said she'd prefer to carry on using the S as she can have the top down when the weathers nice

I use mine to commute to Uni which is a 50 mile round trip.

A couple of tunnels on the way and with the intermittent nice weather we have been getting its a no brainer for me

Yeh I do, but its only 5 miles from where I live. Makes up for it at the weekend when you get a glourious weekend and the A32...

It's a lovely motor but its only a car (10k give or take a few k) at the end of the day!

It's there to be enjoyed/driven!

Thanks for your replies, there's some real dedication here - so yes, it looks like I was being a tart! Driving your dream car after years of dreaming makes you covet it a little too much I think

Wish I had a tunnel on my commute, that would be amazing lol... hey I wonder as a side project if we could produce a map of the UK showing all the tunnels??
