Default S2000 as daily driver?

Hey all,
I am currently looking for a new car and I have it narrowed down to either an S2k or dc5.. As whatever I buy will be my daily driver I am just wondering who also has an S2000 as their daily and would you recommend it or not? I know it boils down to personal preference etc but I'm just curious to hear your thoughts...

Thanks

I have one as a daily driver (every week I do ~120 mi of motorway) and a ~15 minute journey to/from work every day.

To be honest, motorways are a bit of a pain as there is quite a bit of road noise and the engine is at 4k rpm when cruising at 75mph - but I have headphones which cut out most of the road noise.

The ride is good - its firm but not uncomfortable.

Boot space is adequate for my needs, but really depends if you'll need to be lugging any large suitcases around to be honest.

Now, with the boring bits out of the way... getting to daily drive the S2000 means I get to VTEC everyday!

Mine's been my daily driver for 18 months. Love it. Despite only having two seats, I still find it fairly practical. The boot is a decent size for shopping and for weekends away. And being able to just drop the roof at a moments notice for good weather is fantastic. Rather than waiting for a good weekend to get the car out the garage.

I also have a set of winter wheels and tyres, and a hardtop for in the winter. RWD snow drifting!! Yeehaa!

I used mine as a DD for about 18mths-

I kept a couple of sets of ear plugs in it for motorway driving - especially with the roof down.
It's wise to budget for a spare set of wheels with winter tyres if you plan on driving it in the snow.
Be gentle in the wet.

You get a great tan in the summer

My GF has a C70 T5 for daily use - fast, folding metal roof, comfy etc...but she likes to use the S on a Friday because it's noisy and more fun - she also loves the attention she gets in it

yep mines a daily and it does fine. I look at it as two different cars - during the winter months the hardtop goes on and it makes the car look different and then there is the glorious summertime where the roof comes down and voila, throw your fake tan away!

I can manage a weekly groceries shop without too much bother and if I'm visiting B&Q, well the roof comes down and we are good to go

I bought my s2000 with daily driving in the summer in mind... Test drove a ton of ap1s and couldnt do it for normal city driving, settled on an 04 ap2 and am content... Test drove an 07 but wasn't fond, looking back at the build now initial tuning would have been cheaper...

All I'm saying is test drive different years ap1/ap2(04-05/06+)!!!

That's my .02 good luck!

Had mine as a daily driver for the last seven years and nearly 60k miles and it's been fantastic. I have access to an old Volvo estate, but that only ever gets used for shifting large DIY stuff and for dog walks (though the dog has been in the S2k too!).

When I first got the car I thought I'd use the beater in the winter, but just found the Honda too good and never stopped using it. So instead I bought something less practical than the S2k to use for special weekends.
