Calipers are my biggest annoyance!

Fontal 01-28-2011 06:49 PM

I have to say I've had mine for a year and apart from parts I've fitted and servicing it has cost me nothing apart from the of top up of oil, top car I'd say

Nottm_S2 01-28-2011 11:17 PM

free insurance? :D

it is a cheap car to run imo. even servicing, but's in no corsa 1.4 diesel

Heinz '57 01-28-2011 11:40 PM

If you ignore insurance, servicing, fuel and depreciation, then they have a good point.

Try running a Boxster or a Z4 for a bit! The cheapest service I had on a boxster was £300 and that wasn't at a dealership. I've been quoted 90 quid at my local Honda Dealership for my 99k service if I take my own oils.

The car is the bargain of the century.

Has nobody read the footnote on the post that says they're talking about depreciation?

Mind you, I don't believe that, either.

mines costing me a fortune to run.

bought last march for 7k

tax - £265
Insurance - £650
service - £300
new front calipers - £160
arb droplinks all round - £60
tct - £150
used wheels and tyres - £550
rear tyres - £250
Geometry adjustment - £120
fuel - £30 per week
oil - £15 every 1500 miles

Depreciation probably £1000

so thats nearly 5k in just under a year!

Doesnt stop me loving the car though

TommyS2000 01-29-2011 06:31 AM

^^^^ Either you vtec every gear change or your car guzzles oil!!

cupracing 01-29-2011 07:57 AM
