Default s2000 hood up or down when in garage

i have recently purchases my o6 s2000
I have cleaned and re protected the soft top roof
It looks like brand new
is the roof while in the garage better been left up or down
I only use the car for summer only and may be once a week
my thoughts would be to leave the hood up in the garage to keep it pulled into shape rather than folded down
any thoughts
thanks john walker

Keep it up. The roof will keep its shape better, the marks where it folds are avoided when its kept down for a long period, and it also keeps out any vermin that like to find a nice warm home.

John, this got me thinking. And my conclusion is up but with the latches released. Enough tension to keep it's shape but not enough to put it under tension or stress.
Any thoughts anyone?

I thanks think now know its better up for shape and depends on the garage temp
reckon in winter it may need catches locked has the cold soft top may shrink slightly
and in summer leave with catches open
I had a kit car westfield and in winter you could not stretch
the roof over the mounts has was too stiff and shrank with the cold
I live in Yorkshire so some temps up and down any other advice welcome thanks john

I keep my roof and windows closed in my garage. Amazing amount of dust gets in the car otherwise. I cover the whole car when it's off the road for the winter.

Had mine for 13 years and kept in the garage every winter with the roof down. For no other reason than that's how I left it the last time I drove it each year. Roof still in excellent condition. (car is covered ALL the time it's in there)

Up but not fully latched to give the seals a chance to restore shape, it still acts as a dust seal as the rubber still touches.

I like Ben's idea

i leave mine roof down but it does get dusty.. the roof remains tight and pretty healthy (its an 01 and has original roof). I dont do any work in there with the car in, its also a gym though and is kept fairly clean.. ahem

I guess a couple of strategically placed towels would keep the dust out if you leave it unlatched.
