Default S2000 Instrument panel problem

Hi guys, i have a 2001 UK model S2k and have an issue changing the Instrument panel from KMH to MPH.

Even though it has the Button and when i press and hold it, it just won't change so i'm stuck in KMH.

My question is, if i remove the clock, is there a way that a auto electrician can change it to MPH. Or anybody has done it?

I have noticed one or two bulbs at the right hand side of the clock have blown. Would this affect the Button to change between Km's and MPH?

Any help will be appreciated.

Ah that's how it works ! - I've always been poking it as hard as I can

Seriously though, the button is fairly robust, have a look here for lots of photos of the inside, so not sure it's the button that's at fault, my guess is that it's either the bulbs or there's been some damage to the printed circuit somewhere (and the bulbs being out are also a symptom of that)

^ My thoughts. Some JDMs (or maybe JDM clusters) won't switch the measurement on the button.

Looking at the Qube manual Ben posted up the switch look very much like this one-

http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/105-tactile-switch-kr88v

So if you do get to pulling it apart it won't be impossible to get a replacement.

But as you say there are other bulbs out and if you find theu aren't blown just not working you may find a break in the pcb track.
