S2000 at Spa
Well, as the Reno ant Lotus boys are posting their Spa vids in the Non-S2000 forum, I thought I'd share mine with the wider world too. For those who've not been to Spa, it's something you need to do.

Nice videos.
The circuit looks great, it's certainly on my list for next year!
The footage is great quality. What equipment are you using?
On the large screen it looks like your doing about 10mph around the track
, yet on the small screen you look a hero!
Thanks for posting.

Equipment is a fastfilms Quad Sucker Windscreen Mount http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/camera-suction-mounts.php to which is attached a Mid-range SD JVC GR270-EK Camcorder http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.js...elId=MODL027367 This provides the main picture
The in-car/wind deflector camera is a Nikon Coolpix S1 compact digital camera http://www.cameras.co.uk/details/nikon-coolpix-s1.cfm attached to a Fast Films Ultra Clamp http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/fixed-camera-mounts.php I removed the adjustable bit and clamped it to the glass wind deflector - it wobbles about a bit when changing gear, but it's not that noticable when it's reduced in size like in the video.
All very budget-based really and pretty robust, moreso than the hard disc cameras others have had trouble with
Average speed was 75mph according to my sat nav on a later run.

Nice video LG!!
Good quality film.... shame about the driving!! only joking pal.
Really though that was cracking quality, shame they arent all like that.
Looked like great weather and a good track. Look abit high speed for the S though. Shame there wasnt anything to have abit of a battle with, they all looked like track day specials.

Battling is the last thing I want to do on a track day.
In the 2nd video, you can see where I run very wide at the double left-hander after overtaking the Cossie - he wasn't especially helpful in letting me pass, so I carried too much speed at the entry, hence the mistake afterwards.
There was a generally high "class" of track day goer at this event, and I only overtook 4 cars in the whole two days (Rowan Atkinson in his classic jag, the Muttlys in their S2000, and that Sierra)
I'm far happier just improving my own driving than trying to prove something against another car.
I was more than happy to avoid the sort of traffic one gets on airfield days where I am usually one of the faster cars - see this vid for the sort of thing I mean.

Promotion, at last
Great vid mate.
I learned that my HDD doesnt like G forces as you say.
Mark and Johnny use similar Sonys but employ the memory stick.
Mione can take Duo so I'll just pop one of them in next time

Did get a bit of a lap though, but forgot to clean the windshield hence it kept autofocusing on the bug splat lol
I'll plonk it up later on, it was very my first outing and dead quiet on track!
