I hope this is not repeat info, but do hope it helps someone else avoid an expensive mistake.

hmmmmmm interesting that...

maybe you should `backup` your CD based manual and allow other board members to store your `backup` in an offsite fashion for service continuity puposes. That way should you `scratch` your original copy, there will be a number of offsite `backups`.......

Maybe you could also charge a nominal fiver to recoup your 20 pound investment!

(PC heads amongst us will know what I`m getting at)

Yes thats right, CD's have been known to explode under the centrifugal force of those new high speed CD-ROM drives

You can't have too many backups - Grandfather, father, son, grandson......er brother, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law

...and there will be quite a few of us happy to pay a small amount to help you store these buackups just to make sure that they are safe

Agreed Steve,

I wouldn`t expect him to allow us to provide storage of the backup for free, of course a small amount is accepted.

So with Steve, me and Moor, you`ve recouped the intial investment already, (or at least diluted it by 3).

And....in turn we are helping Honda.....if your ONLY original SHOULD get damaged, then you would have to go back to the Honda network and request a replacement. We are removing that need and inturn allowing the lovely UK Honda staff to get on with more important things like, fixing and services Stooks and developing new ones....

Thinking about....Honda should pay me to allow Astage to store a backup copy for him!!!

I think limiting the backup sites to the UK is a bit risky, I mean, what if it sunk?

I offer to store a continental backup.

What if there was a Continental Disaster (it could easily cross the channel as well.) I believe the only prudent course is to store a copy off-continent. I'd be happy to offer our data storage vault.

I think the prudent thing would be to have a copy of the backup in my fire and water proof safe which I store in the mountains of the himalayas. That way even the warming earth and rising sea levels would not affect it anytime soon. Therefore you can count me in as a trusted source of backup for all your needs including your car if need be......

... and as I use Apple Mac's exclusively, I would really appreciate an evaluation copy of the file to ascertain that it works on my Mac', prior to buying an original of my own...
