Any dealers offering a discount yet? Having my service done today, don't want to miss out if they are!

We've had a few offers of dealer discounts, yes, as suggestions from them about how they could become involved, but nothing in stone yet.

Funnily enough I spent a couple of hours yesterday finishing writing, printing off, stuffing and stamping, then this morning posted follow up letters to dealers who expressed interest and other selected ones. That letter will be the beginning of setting up a proper dealer shceme.

As soon as there is something in place, I'll be sure to post it

I could really do with a discount scheme running at Southern Counties AE, what with replacing all my brakes. Any news on that front?

You could try changing them yourself, its not really that difficult.

In all seriousness, how about asking some of the dealers if they will do "technician days" for us. EG, throw open their workshop at a weekend for pre-booked owner's club members to work on their cars with a technician in attendance. The deal could include having to buy replacement parts from the dealer (its the labour that's expensive), and the owner's club paying (collectively) for the tech's overtime bill (even if his time was charged at full retail rate it still wouldn't cost too much split several ways?).

The dealer may not make much out of the day but would cover costs and generate tons of goodwill and long-term service (you need the stamp in your book don't you!) and parts customers

I know!!! I really must sort me out a job! I'd like to work from home i think Maybe i should sell shyte on Ebay!

Neither - Avonvale in Stratford. That's where I bought it from, and the sales guy I bought it off is a mate of my friend. He even swapped cars with me and took mine to work whilst I took the demo - saved me messing about taking it in
