i've had one ticket - 49 in a 30 - 12.00am on a sunday night - road was dead - bad billy.
did a guy not get done up north doing 160 ish in an M3 - a BMW dealer manager who was acdtually disqualified at the time he got done again...

I got caught doing 37 in a (unsigned) 30 limit and was pulled over 10 metres short of the 40mph sign, this was on the Cambridge ring road at 2:00am !!!

I pointed to the sign and said "40?", he replied "no this is actually a 30 etc etc" The woman with him had started writing the ticket before he even got to the car so I knew there was no way I could sweet talk my way out of it.
The c*nt must have been bored or something, I don't consider I was a danger to anyone, there weren't many children playing football in the road and as far as I was concerned I was just cruising, not really paying particular attention to my speed but ambling along at a safe rate of knots, I thought I was being quite restrained for that time of the morning actually.
