Default Safe Parking

Like most of us here when leaving the S I normally look for this kind of Car Park space -

The thought of a 7 seat MPV with mindless kids banging their doors against my bodywork really gets to me, so when spying this space I couldn't resist -

and then bring out -

just for extra peace of mind No need for the POS car alarm....

Why is it tho that wherever you park and how deserted it may be there is ALWAYS some ****wit parked smack bang next to you when you get back ... it's like they're afraid to park all on their own!!

Agree - went away for a few days last week, parked in a deserted corner of some place of interests Car Park.

Come back to find the S had given birth to a Civic, which in turn gave birth to a couple of "older folk". Fortunately they had parked just far enough away not to cause concern, but still made me wonder - why ?

Only as a last resort do i park mine in a space which is in a row of spaces ie as in supermarket car parks. I usually park in a quiet road nearby and walk to the supermarket. Geoff.

This mysterious herding instinct has me baffled too.
Is it a need for some sort of orderliness, or perhaps they think their car would be lonely on its own ????
