For Sale Thread Moderation

But what if they are made by a mod?
I asked a legitimate question about the item for sale.
You said that you didn't understand the question, so I explained.
You then took exception to the answer.

If you start a thread with a subtitle 'Suitable for CTL custmers' surely you were asking for spaming in that thread

I don't mind friendly banter or humour even in my FS threads as you see

You know this as you entered into said thread, and so I assume read my same comment to that effect.
But when a FS thread has input that challenges or obviously affects the potential to sell that item its not acceptable.
And when it is a mod that adds such comment, it casts something of a shadow upon the whole integrity of the forum moderation.
That thread has been tidied now and the matter dealt with to my satisfaction
But your comments in this thread and in my FS thread imply I 'asked for it'.
Is that the case?

For the record, I did not spam your thread.
I asked a legitimate question about the item for sale.

Even though you clearly had no intention of purchasing it.
Your reason given was that you were protecting others by suggesting that the item was not trustworthy in its accuracy.
So why did you really ask that question?
And why were all the comments deleted if they were 'legitimate' ?
Steve
I thought there was a pretty well established convention that people don't start commenting on price, vfm, quality, etc, in for sale threads
as well as not spamming
it was the former in the thread in question, and completely unnecessary for a £15 Argos gadget
but the thread has been tidied up now, which is good

I wanted to know if the device was validated, simple.
The comments are not deleted, I can get them put back if you like.

Chris.
You can do what you like on a car club forum.
We have established this.
I'll let you play.
But please stay out of my FS threads.
I pay for the use like everyone else, and would appreciate the opportunity to go about selling my items without mods citicising their integrity or value.
Especially when you clearly had no intention of buying the said item.

Did you ask for it, not in your opinion perhaps. But your posting style and the subtitle saying 'suitable for CTL customers' perhaps from some points of view you were in a way. Its not as if you dont give out as much as you get is it
